and want to be a jerk about it?
The www.needmyspace.com is the place for you!
This is somewhat funny, but I hope no one actually uses it cause that is just mean.

Quote of the Day
This is a great quote by Mark Federman
“(One might say we were Harris’ed by the Eves of destruction, but that’s a bit subtle, isn’t it?)”

UMSU Health and Dental Plan on the blogosphere
As frequent visitors to my website are aware, I monitor the blogosphere for mentions of UMSU and today there is one:
A student who disagrees with having to join the UMSU Health and Dental Plan:

Movable Type 3.2 – coming
I am waiting for Movable Type 3.2 to be released in the near future. The Movable Type 3.2 Beta blog reports that the 4th beta release is coming out probably tomorrow morning. If the 4th beta is bug-free (and it is expected to be), the 4th beta build will become MT 3.2 and released to the public at that point. This means that I will be doing the upgrade next weekend. With the upgrade, I am going to be using a default template for awhile. I will be working on my new template on the side and will not be releasing it until I am happy with what I have. Again, I am assuming this will be some point in mid-October.
Q&A with Victoria Cross recipient, Ernest “Smoky” Smith [From Macleans]
Macleans Magazine has a great Q & A with Ernest Smith the last Canadian VC winner who recently passed away.
It is a good interview and “Smoky” was very much himself in it.

This site combined Google Maps with Flickr creating a map which shows the locations of Flickr pictures! It is really cool.
The long awaited site rebuild…..
I am actually getting serious about rebuilding my site. To the point that I have begun to create a new beta site to begin testing. I expect to launch the new design somewhere near the middle to end of October.
Some Mackay Cartoons I enjoyed tonight
Mackay of the Hamilton Spectator has a script on his site that randomly picks old cartoons of his to show on his site at:

My Latest Project…. Really Learning CSS
I am currently reading a bunch of books on CSS in order to learn more about CSS. I plan to use this knowledge to build a bunch of style sheets to use on my site and to allow you (the user) to change the style has you see fit. This is especially for people running 800×600 resolution.
Another CBC Broadcaster becomes Governor-General
I am not inspired by this GG as well. I cannot wait to see how she wastes our money too.
http://www.cbc.ca/story/canada/national/2005/08/03/gg050803.html
Since being on the CBC has become a prerequiste for being the GG why not make Don Cherry GG, I be much more inspired and his entertainment may actually entertain me. Heck, at least it would not take his government money wasting friends on a taxpayer paid vacation to Northern Europe!
